Here at the Bridge, serving is ingrained in the DNA of our church and we want to continue being the hands and feet of Jesus in our community, thank YOU for your partnership and willingness to serve alongside us this Second Saturday!

Please arrive no later than 8:45 a.m., sign in, get your nametag, coffee, and donuts and head into the sanctuary. We will have announcements, prayer, and leave promptly to our service projects at 9 a.m. These projects will wrap up by 12 p.m.


Donations for the Ministry of the Month can be dropped off either at the Bridge on or before Community Impact Weekend during normal office hours (M-Th 9am-3pm).

5 Youth For Christ City Life Center Deep Clean
City Life is an effective ministry model to transform the lives of urban youth, their families and the communities that they live in. The City Life model provides a strategic way to pursue every young person in urban communities all over the USA. We will be deep cleaning their commercial kitchen and some other miscellaneous items at their facility.

6 SHALOM House
SHALOM is an acronym for Self-Help Alternative Living Opportunities of Michigan. SHALOM is people focused, Christ centered, community supported, and exists to serve adults living with developmental disabilities. We will be finishing a small sheep shed, installing some pasture fencing, splitting/stacking some wood, and some other miscellaneous items.

10 Notes of Hope
Notes of Hope is a ministry that provides hope and encouragement to seniors in assisted living facilities and others who are hard to reach. This team will be writing these sweet notes to send to local inmates in the Kalamazoo County Jail, whose lives are brightened by the hope and encouragement these notes bring. Kids are welcome and encouraged to participate, even if it is coloring pictures to include.

11 12 Baskets
12 Baskets is a local faith based food bank that serves Portage and the rest of South County. This month, we will be both inside and outside participating in putting food baskets together, delivering them to clients’ vehicles, and also helping organize the vehicles through the pick up line. **Distribution goes until 1 pm; however, volunteers may leave at noon if they are unable to stay to the end.**
